MIPS stands for Multidirectional Impact Protection System. It is a slightly-movable slippery layer of plastic found between the helmet’s EPS and it’s liner, which is designed to move slightly as the helmet hits the ground in the event of an impact. This lengthens the highest “G” load to the brain which reduces the risk of concussion. Look for MIPS in our 2023 Clutch CX Pro MIPS Helmet.
