Garments containing F.A.S.T continue to be 100% effective after being submerged in an open ice situation; it does not lose it's buoyancy after use. It's also completely washable, but we do advise against using excessive heat - follow care instructions on the inside tag, or wash in cold water, delicate cycle and hang dry if unsure.
